We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, display name, and optionally your city, state, and zip code to personalize your experience.

Usage Data: If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymized data about how you use the site — pages visited, features used, and general engagement patterns. We use PostHog for product analytics and session replay.

Show Tracking: If you use our tracking features (marking shows as "want to see", "seen", ratings), that data is stored in your account and is only visible to you.

Theatre Claims: If you submit a claim for a theatre company or venue, we collect your name, role, email, and phone number for verification purposes.

Essential Cookies: Required for the site to function — authentication sessions, security tokens. These cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how visitors use the site. These are only activated if you click "Accept" on the cookie consent banner. If you decline, we use PostHog's cookieless mode for basic anonymous page view counts only.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Live Theatre discovery experience

• Send you email notifications about shows from theatres you follow (only if you opt in)

• Process theatre ownership claims

• Understand how the site is used to make it better

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

We only send marketing emails (new shows, weekly digests) if you explicitly opt in during signup. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default.

Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also manage your email preferences in your account settings.

Transactional emails (password resets, claim approvals) are sent regardless of marketing preferences, as they are necessary for account functionality.

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US West region). We use Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own personal data.

Public data (theatre listings, show schedules, venue information) is accessible to all visitors.

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Database and authentication

• Vercel — Website hosting

• PostHog — Product analytics (with cookie consent)

• Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery

• Google Analytics — Traffic analytics (with cookie consent)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Request deletion of your account and associated data

• Opt out of marketing emails at any time

• Decline analytics cookies
